NCBA Convention Information

For those of you who have not attended convention before, here is some basic information. This will vary from year to year, but will give you an idea of how things are! Dates vary by Year.

We normally have about 40 vendors. In 2005, we had approximately 800 people at convention, including registrants, vendors, visitors and teachers. We offered over 170 classes, ranging in skill level from beginner to advanced, and some classes were all levels. It is very possible for a novice basketmaker and a very experienced basketmaker to each find classes to fill the weekend! Visitor's Day is Saturday.
Visitors are allowed access to vendors, the Pattern Station, and Exhibit Room, but NOT the classrooms or weaving room. Visitors may register in advance, the entry fee is $5. If a Visitor is a paid NCBA member, s/he may vote in the Exhibit Room. We have security at convention each year. If you are not registered, you will not be able to enter classrooms.
